Some wild weather yesterday. Severe storms across southwestern Ontario caused power outages, flooding and may have even spawned a tornado near Kitchener. According to reports, was spotted in Wellesley. Weather office issued multiple extreme weather alerts as the skies look like the nighttime with intense weather bringing torrential rain, large hail and strong gusty winds. There were multiple reports of fallen trees and downed power lines. Hydro One reported about 52,000 customers were in the dark. Pearson Airport also reported numerous delays and cancellations. The federal government announced yesterday it's extending the 10 centiliter tax break at Canadian pumps until January. It will be followed by a three-month phase-in of the tax. There's been an update on how many Canadians are still missing after last week's catastrophic flooding at the Himalayan border. One Canadian citizen unaccounted for has been deemed safe Ottawa said they're still looking for 29 others. Rescue and recovery operations continue where flash flooding has killed over 1200 people. More than 4200 others are missing. And health care in Grey Bruce is getting a major boost. Brayshore's health system is welcoming 14 new specialized physicians to the region this year, 12 already on the job with two more arriving in the fall.
