It's Monday, March 23rd. Good morning. Flurries, windy, minus one. We'll feel minus 8 with the wind chill this afternoon. The dollar trading 72.82 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. Welcome back from the weekend. Kids back to school from the March break. And provincial politicians are going back to work from the Christmas break. So basically they had all of winter off. in a little bit of the fall. The Ford government recessed the legislature December 11th. Opposition called it undemocratic, 3 1/2 months off. And with the budget being delivered Thursday, demonstrations over budget cuts are planned outside of Queen's Park this week. Two Air Canada pilots were killed when their plane crashed into a rescue vehicle on a runway at New York's LaGuardia Airport as it was landing before midnight after a flight from Montreal. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said 41 people were taken to hospital. All but nine have been released. Some of the injured are in serious condition. The airport will stay closed until at least this afternoon. Grey Bruce Public Health reminding everyone with a private well to test their drinking water for the spring. The free testing service provided by Public Health Ontario. Grey Bruce Public Health has a map on their webpage that shows designated pickup and drop-off locations, along with a courier schedule. Keep in mind, water samples must be tested within 48 hours of collection. it was a scary moment this weekend when residents were forced to stay inside after a shelter in place advisory was issued Saturday. Greg Bruce OPP said a suspect was on the loose in Sauble Falls. Residents were advised to stay inside locked doors and windows when officers responded to a disturbance involving a person who was potentially armed. Police say the suspect turned himself in Sunday morning. Light 99, 3 sports, NBA last night. The Raptors lost to Phoenix 1 2098. They're in Utah tonight at 9. NHL last night, Calgary edged Tampa Bay in overtime. Winnipeg beat the Rangers in a shootout. Leafs were off, coming off back-to-back losses this weekend. They're in Boston tomorrow at 7. The Blue Jays wrapped up the preseason, blasting Tampa Bay 14 to 1. Their next game is the home opener against the Athletics Friday at 7. And Team Canada had to settle for silver, losing the gold medal game at the Women's World Curling Championship Sunday. They lost to Switzerland 7-5.
